Submerged aquatic vegetation is the cornerstone of healthy ecosystems

Healthy aquatic ecosystems cannot survive without submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV). It is the key to crystal clear water. It cleans the water, stabilizes the sediment, and provides food and habitat for fish and animals, adds oxygen to the water, and sequesters harmful nutrients that cause algae. We dredge to provide a clean substrate, plant seagrass, protect it, and maintain it.
